The original suggested adding Daimyo’s Christmas market to a winter Fukuoka visit. Christmas Gate Park in Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City was announced for November 13–December 25, 2026, in the plaza and stage area. Entry and performances were free; food and drinks were purchased separately.

Opening time depends on the date
Standard hours were 5–10 p.m. on weekdays and noon–10 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese public holidays. Exceptions were Sunday, December 13, opening at 1 p.m., and Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, opening at noon despite being weekdays.
| Visit date | Operating hours |
|---|---|
| Weekdays | 17:00~22:00 |
| Saturdays, Sundays, and Japanese public holidays | 12:00~22:00 |
| Sunday, December 13 | 13:00~22:00 |
| Thursday, December 24, and Friday, December 25 | 12:00~22:00 |
All times are local to Japan. A 6 p.m. lighting ceremony was also planned for opening day, November 13. Distinguish that ceremony time from the market’s standard hours.
A location to combine with Tenjin
The venue was Daimyo Garden City Plaza, 2-6-50 Daimyo, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka. Official access gave the subway Airport Line’s Akasaka Station about four minutes away on foot, and Tenjin Station about eight minutes. A daytime Tenjin/Daimyo walk could be followed by the market once it opened.
Plans included mulled wine, hot chocolate, sausages, chicken, and other food and drinks. The official FAQ prohibited bringing food/drinks in or taking them out, so check those rules before a visit.
A limited-quantity Daimyo mug was also planned, but the mug could not be bought by itself. The checked material did not give its price; confirm the product bundle and price before ordering.
EVERYDAY TRIP Editorial Team’s advice
For weekday daytime arrivals, first account for the 5 p.m. opening. Check the exceptions on December 13, 24, and 25, and recheck performances and products on the official page before departure.
