HOTEL REVIEW
Oriental Hotel Kyoto Rokujo (オリエンタルホテル 京都六条)

Oriental Hotel Kyoto Rokujo was a stylish, recently opened Kyoto hotel in the original account. Welcome refreshments at check-in and sake in the evening made for a distinctive welcome. In the lobby, I could look out at the courtyard while enjoying complimentary drinks and snacks until 22:00. The room was cozy and practical, with a range of self-service food options including a traditional Kyoto breakfast. It was a 20-minute walk from Kyoto Station, so a taxi was another practical option.

HOTEL REVIEW
Sakura Terrace The Atelier (サクラテラス ザ・アトリエ)

A 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, Sakura Terrace The Atelier was a practical hotel with a communal bath and basic amenities. Its bunk-bed-style room arrangement suited 1–2 travelers, with pajamas, toothbrushes, a hairdryer and other essentials supplied. Separate toilet and shower areas were convenient, and various items could be borrowed. Sound insulation was weak in the author's experience, something to consider if sensitive to noise. Be careful not to confuse it with the similarly named sister property Sakura Terrace Hotel ; confirm the exact property before booking.

HOTEL REVIEW
Richmond Hotel Kyoto Ekimae (リッチモンドホテルプレミア京都駅前)

A 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station, Richmond Hotel Kyoto Ekimae made a hotel-focused Kyoto stay feel as appealing as cherry-blossom sightseeing. The recorded experience included a Häagen-Dazs matcha parfait and welcome tea before check-in, with linked lounge use near Shijo Station. Spacious rooms, a separate bathroom, a children's activity area and self-service amenities also suited families. Breakfast was substantial, from what the author jokingly called a morning-after drink to beef shabu-shabu, tempura and rice bowls. It was a recommendation for a restful Kyoto stay at that time.
